Asset Organization

The correct configuration of the directory assets in your CM1 Assets folder is as follows:

  • Under the root /Asset folder in your Finder Window, create a new folder named "directories".

  • Under the "directories" folder create a folder for each organization you have. For example, for multiple schools or multiple businesses it is recommended to create a separate folder for each Organization.

  • Create a new Organization Shared Asset within this Organization folder and fill out of field of the widget to store the details of your Organization.

  • Under an organization folder create a new folder for each Department within your organization.

  • Create a new Department Shared Asset in each Department folder and fill out of field of the widget to store the details of your Department.

  • Under each Department folder create a folder to contain the people assets for that given department. This folder can further be subdivided into additional folders to more easily organize a large collection of people, such as alphabetical separation (folder "A", folder "B", etc.) or alphabetic groups (folder "A-C", folder "D-F", etc.)

  • Within each "people" folder is where you can create a new Person Shared Asset to contain the information details for each member of a department & organization.
